Fred Eberle Technical Center names December/January Students of the Month

Fred Eberle Technical Center has named Chase Ryan and Alexis Johnson as its Students of the Month for December and January.

Ryan, a junior from Upshur County in his first year of the Diesel Equipment Technology program, was recognized for his positive attitude and work ethic.

“He works hard and helps his peers if they need it,” diesel instructor Charles Smith said.

Johnson, a Lewis County High School senior completing the Carpentry program this year, earned her recognition for leadership and dedication.

“Alexis has great leadership qualities and is a very likable person,” carpentry instructor Randy Cunningham said. “She gets along with others very well and is always willing to help others with different projects or needs.”

Mon Hills Music Group signed Morgantown alternative garage band Sample Text on Feb. 16, with two singles set to release through Mon Hills Records. Made up of WVU students, the band began at Morgantown High and now continues its indie-rock-influenced run with student-led support.
