Francis Junior Light

Francis Junior Light went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2023, at his home after a long illness.

He was born August 13, 1948 in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Albert Francis Light and Mary Jane Rowan Light Roth.

On March 23, 2002, he married Wanda Louise Mitchell West, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Kathy Jo Light Hardman and husband Brian of Ninety-Six, SC and Melissa Jane Light Kelley and husband Elmer of Tallmansville, WV; two step-daughters, Amanda Sue West Norment and husband David of Hodgesville, WV and Tina Louise West Daugherty and husband Rick of Philippi, WV; three granddaughters, Kristen Dawn Hardman Villarreal and husband Chris and Jasmine Hardman all of SC and Katherine Louise Daugherty of Albright, WV; three grandsons, Joshua Lee Kelley and wife Elizabeth of Horner, WV, Jacob Allen Kelley of Tallmansville, WV, and Andrew Neal Daugherty of Philippi, WV; one great-granddaughter Aleah Dawn Kelley; three great-grandsons, Bryar Allen Kelley, Jonah Lee Kelley and Braxton Bolyard; one sister, Rose Marie Light Knight of Buckhannon, WV and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patty Ann Mackey Light. 

Francis worked for Moore Business Forms in Buckhannon, WV for 25 years and in Greenwood, SC for 10 more years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buckhannon, WV. He enjoyed going to auctions, online auctions, collecting antiques and playing cards.

Friends will be received Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Sunday 2 PM at the funeral home with Robert Mitchell and Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Church Cemetery in Ellamore, WV.
