First Community Bank claims fourth-quarter title in men’s golf league

TENNERTON – First Community Bank left no doubt as to who the fourth-quarter winner was going to be in the final regular season week in the 2025 Buckhannon Country Club  Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League.

First Community Bank had a dominant 24 ½- 15 ½ victory over Custom Cabinets to secure the fourth-quarter title with 117 points. Custom Cabinets remained in third place with 104 points.

Lisa Cain Edward Jones held onto second place after a 20-20 tie with Highland Landscaping with 109 points.

Feola’s Flowers remained in fourth place after a 23 ½-16 ½ win over Sam’s Pizza with 102 points.

In the other match of the week, High Point Construction downed Hank Ellis Insurance by a 20 ½-19 ½ score.

Chris Brady of First Community Bank won Low Actual honors with a 35 while Eric McCartney of Feola’s Flowers and Rick Stocking of First Community Bank shared Low Net honors with 32s.

First Community Bank will play High Point Construction in a playoff match this coming Wednesday with the winner advancing to the championship match against Highland Landscaping next week.
