Fairmont State assistant professor of art receives award in national juried exhibition

Fairmont State Univerisity Assistant Professor of Art, Kylie For’ds work “Bisection” was recently included in Marshall University’s 8th Annual National Juried Exhibition at the Charles W. and Norma C. Carroll Gallery. Ford’s work was selected by juror Steven Matijcio, Curator of the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ford’s work has been exhibited nationally, including Manifest Gallery, Cincinnati, Ohio; Boston University Art Galleries, Boston, Mass.; NEXT Gallery, Denver, Colo.; Huntington Museum of Art, Huntington, W.Va.; among others.

Most recently Ford was named the recipient of the Real Arts Award, partially funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. She is currently preparing works for a July solo exhibition at Real Art Ways in Hartford, Conn.
