Everybody is somebody’s hero

Hodgesville Elementary School is undergoing a $2.2 million upgrade. While that is exciting and much needed, it also brings with it many changes in routines and unexpected “bumps in the road.”

However, one teacher has taken lemons and made lemonade! The kindergarten class has a front seat view of the construction. So a couple of times a day as a reward, Mrs. Tenney and her first graders gather in the window and watch the construction workers.

The employees like to joke with the kids by attempting to hand them shovels and other tools through the windows.  It is definitely a highlight for these five year olds and probably for the workers too!

They thank Huffman Construction and their subcontractors for a positive attitude and for being their students’ heroes!
