Everett James Wyatt

Everett James Wyatt, 92, of Crawford, joined his family in Heaven on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. He passed after a courageous battle with cancer and under the compassionate care of Holbrook Healthcare Center in Buckhannon.

Everett was born in Kanawha Head on January 3, 1931, a son of the late Isreal Wyatt and Melinda Lear Riley Wyatt. In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by nine siblings: Claudie Wyatt, Robert Wyatt, Violet Staley, Letta Riley, Jean Mullens, Willis “Boss” Wyatt, Delores Riddle, George Wyatt, and Delmas Wyatt.

Forever cherishing their memories of Everett are one special niece, Virginia Ables and husband, Roger, of Crawford; and several additional nieces and nephews.

Everett spent over 40 years tending a farm in Lewis County. He ran cattle, gardened, cut hay, and various other caretaker duties. He was Christian by faith and committed his soul to the Lord. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or watching the birds, Everett was most at peace in the outdoors. He had a happy soul and it was a rare occasion for anything to bring his spirit down. Everett will be missed dearly.

Everett’ request for Cremation has been honored. A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

We, at Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon, are honored and privileged to serve the family of Everett James Wyatt. Online condolences may be expressed at www.ClutterFuneralHome.com.
