The WV Bigfoot Festival moves to a new home this year: Nicholas County Veterans Memorial Park in Summersville, Friday through Sunday, Oct. 9–11. Admission is $10.
Organizers expect up to 400 vendors, along with food trucks, cryptozoologists, live music and activities for kids such as gem mining and bounce houses.
Ahead of the festival, Artist’s Market is holding an online auction to support it, with proceeds going to local veterans. Items include artwork by Tom Buckland, pieces from the WV Bigfoot Museum, custom Bigfoot Jibbitz from The Thrifty Mountaineer and a footprint wallet designed by Dr. Ali Khan of Buckhannon and made by Sherri Traverse. Bidding runs until 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5.
