Veterans Outreach Event at the Senior Center

A veterans outreach event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, at the Upshur County Senior Center, 28 N. Kanawha St. in Buckhannon. Offices from the VA Hospital in Clarksburg will be on hand, including VA enrollment. American Legion Post 7 will also be there to help veterans and surviving spouses with questions about VA disability and to start the paperwork for veterans filing for their earned benefits — anyone planning to begin that process should bring a DD214.
