The Upshur County Firefighters Association will hold a public question and answer meeting about the proposed fire fee increase on the November ballot.
The association says the proposal would raise the residential fee from $25 to $35, the commercial fee from $50 to $70 and the fee on parcels of five acres or more from $5 to $7. The fee has not changed since it took effect 25 years ago.
