Appalachian Impact holds its fifth annual Reach for the Stars gala at The Opera House with music, hors d’oeuvres and dancing. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the evening starts at 7 p.m. Semi-formal attire is encouraged, and silent auctions run throughout the night.
Proceeds benefit Appalachian Impact, which works with at-risk students in the region through one-to-one mentoring, after-school programs and a youth space called The Adventure Center. Money raised goes toward establishing a permanent staff position, growing the scholarship fund and hiring summer staff.
