The 2026 Miss Upshur County royalty hosts a Halloween pageant at The Outpost & Event Center, with titles for children, kings and queens. Organizers describe it as a fun, non-glitz pageant meant to bring the community together during spooky season.
The children’s and king’s pageant runs from 2 to 3 p.m. and the queen’s pageant from 5 to 6 p.m. Every winner gets a crown, a medal and a gift, and there are fan favorite and photogenic awards. Raffle tickets for spooky gifts and gift cards are sold at the door and drawn during intermission.
The entry fee is $35 for all divisions and the deadline to enter is midnight Sept. 21. Money raised supports the royalty’s year, and 20 percent goes to Necco foster care.
