Local insurance broker Jeff Barnhart of Barnhart Financial Services hosts a free informational meeting on The Health Plan’s Medicare Advantage options at 11 a.m. Monday, October 19, at the Daily Grind Event Center, 20 Raella Lane in Buckhannon.
The meeting covers The Health Plan’s SecureCare HMO and SecureChoice PPO plans. The Health Plan is a West Virginia-based insurance carrier. According to the flyer, a salesperson will be present with information and applications.
It is the first of two Medicare seminars Barnhart is holding that week; the second, on Peak Medicare, is Wednesday, October 21.
Barnhart said in a Facebook post that people turning 65, current seniors, anyone confused about Medicare and those who have received their annual notice of change letters are all invited.
Medicare’s annual enrollment period runs from October 15 to December 7, when people already enrolled can review their coverage and make changes for 2027.
