The Freedom Ride will start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 12, at the Mountaineer Military Museum in Weston, with kickstands up at 11 a.m.
Riders will travel to the West Virginia National Cemetery to place pennies on monuments there. Organizers say the ride honors all who are buried at the cemetery, and invite riders who wish to visit the grave of PFC Ronald Paul McVaney, U.S. Army, to find him in Section C4, Site 757.
