Chapel Hill United Methodist Church has restarted its free Wednesday night take-out dinner. Meals are packaged and handed out at the church’s double doors from 5 to 6 p.m.; the doors open at 4 p.m. for anyone who wants to come in, visit and have a free cup of coffee. This week’s menu is pork chops, potato salad, baked beans and dessert.
There is a limit of five meals per person in line, and the church asks neighbors to pick up meals for elderly or homebound residents who cannot get out. Deliveries are made only to those who are homebound. Donations are accepted but not required.
