Disabled American Veterans Chapter 36 in French Creek holds its annual turkey dinner from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.
The menu includes turkey with all the trimmings, desserts, drinks and homemade hot rolls. Takeout is available, and there is plenty of parking and handicap access.
Dinners are $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 6 to 12; children 5 and under eat free. Proceeds support the chapter’s veterans.
The dinner also features a silent auction of “Freedom Behind the Flag,” a painting donated by local artist Roger Marsh. The minimum bid is $600. The winner will be announced at the close of the dinner, and bidders do not need to be present to win.
