Buckhannon gets its first literacy day on Saturday, September 12, from noon to 5 p.m. at Essence of Energy, 61 Marion Street.
Organizer Nakita Tenney is billing Chapter & Charm as a celebration of literacy, creativity and community for all ages. The lineup includes author meet-and-greets, books for all ages, local vendors, kids’ activities and a drink truck, along with a pastry table and a tattoo artist doing book-themed flash tattoos.
Tenney said on Facebook that she hopes to make the event an annual one.
