The Bailey School Preservation Association will hold its annual Fun Day fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the historic Bailey School, 1381 Mountain Ridge Road. The one-room schoolhouse, built in the early 1900s, served the Bailey Ridge community for decades, and the event raises money for its preservation and upkeep.
The family event features hot dog and soda sales, a cake walk and games, a silent auction and quilt raffle tickets.
The schoolhouse sits at the intersection of Mountain Ridge and Bailey Ridge roads, beside Bailey Ridge Cemetery.
