The Appalachian Mutual Aid Collective will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, September 26 at 4 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Buckhannon.
The gathering opens with a free community meal, after which members set the organization’s focus and vision for the coming year and choose volunteer officers and board members by consensus. AMAC describes it as a chance for newcomers to get to know the group and help shape local mutual aid work.
The collective is also looking for a restaurant willing to donate a meal for 50 to 75 people. Businesses that can help are asked to comment on AMAC’s Facebook post or email connect@amacwv.org.
