Claws & Whiskers Rescue Foundation is hosting a low-cost rabies clinic Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon (or until all vaccines are given) at Freedom Ag & Energy, 60 N Spring St. in Buckhannon.
Rabies shots are $10, cash only, and this is a rabies-only clinic; no other vaccines will be offered. Cats and dogs are welcome. Cats must be in a carrier and dogs on a leash. A three-year rabies vaccine requires proof of a previous vaccination.
Nail trims will also be available for $7. Organizers said they will try with difficult pets but may recommend a veterinarian or groomer if an animal becomes hard to manage.
Vaccines will be given by Dr. Breanna Brown and her staff, with help from the Lewis-Upshur Animal Control Facility staff. Rabies vaccination is required by state law.
