Eulace Denise Weaver

Eulace Denise Weaver, age 63, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at her home.

She was born January 18, 1961, in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Jerry Franklin and Mary Hodgkiss Weaver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece and nephews, Jeremy Todd Weaver, Alyse Diane Weaver and David Shawn Hamilton.

She is survived by her “kitten,” Grayson; fiancée, Edward Smith; three daughters, Mary Jo Smith and husband Nevin, Sr. (Nevin Jr. and Nathan), Beth Ann Kelley and husband Matthew and Shelly Lynn Gause and husband Geoff (Benjamin); three siblings, Debra Meeks and husband Richard, Jerry Weaver, Jr. and wife Gail and Neva Harsh and husband Lynn; several nieces and nephews, Wayne Hamilton, Russ Meeks and wife Coralee (Gavin, Carter and Sawyer), Ashley Lantz  (Soph and Paxton), Chris Meeks and fiancé Gale Duncan, Jake Moss (Emmy), Tessa Fleming (Bri) and Dylan Hamilton. Also surviving is her lifelong sister friend, Elissa Linger, and a phenomenal family friend, Shahna West.

Denise was a member of the Buckhannon Elks Lodge 1736. She was spunky and lived her life vivaciously, finding magic in mundane things and using that to weave fantastical stories. Her wit and feisty personality kept everyone on their toes, but she loved hard and cherished her time with friends and family.

She loved adventures, especially ones in nature, and the more spontaneous the better. She lived fearlessly and regardless of the situation, she was always her stubborn yet authentic self.

In honoring Denise’s wishes, she will be cremated with a Celebration of Life to be determined later. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Upshur-Lewis Animal Shelter or LUV4Animals in her memory.

Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
