Enjoy a taste of spring with Fish Hawk Acres this April

BUCKHANNON – Mark your calendar: Fish Hawk Acres will offer several exciting events this month. Experience the fun and fine dining of Fish Hawk Acres through their Wine Clubs, Cooking Classes, Market Dinners and other events. Celebrate the beautiful spring season by attending floral classes with Blooms by Juliette.

Special Events: Floral Classes

Celebrate Spring and beautiful floral arrangements with Blooms by Juliette. Floral classes allow guests to explore their inner florist with beautiful florals and greenery grown by Juliette. Attend an upcoming floral class at The Coop, 4 E. Main Street in Buckhannon.

Micro Flower Arrangement: Saturday, April 8 – 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Find at least three of your smallest containers to create an array of Micro Arrangements. Guests will be provided one small container and flowers to create an arrangement. Guests will also explore Pompadour arranging. The cost to enjoy this experience is $40. Register for this event.

Botanical Wind Chimes Floral Class: Saturday, April 15 – 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Create a unique wind chime with botanical impressions in clay. All supplies provided. The cost to enjoy this experience is $45. Register for this event.

Earth Day Upcycle Floral Class: Saturday, April 22 – 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Guests are encouraged to bring an object to upcycle! Blooms by Juliette will provide three tropical plants or succulents to bring that “thing” back to life. The cost to enjoy this experience is $30. Register for this event.

Cooking Classes by Fish Hawk Acres

Fish Hawk Acres offers a wide array of cooking classes for every occasion. From baking to kids classes, and even date night, attend a cooking class with Fish Hawk Acres at The Coop at 4 E. Main Street in Buckhannon. The price to enjoy these classes vary. See the full cooking class schedule here.

Wine Club

Once a month, the Fish Hawk Acres Wine Club allows wine enthusiasts to gather for an afternoon of sipping. Join the F’hamily on Sunday, April 16 from 1-3 p.m at the Fish Hawk Acres Market at 5 W. Main Street in Buckhannon. The cost to enjoy this experience is $45 per person plus tax. Gratuity not included. Advance reservations are required as seating for the event is limited. Joyce Taylor Crites, 91, of Buckhannon, WV, died November 9, 2025, leaving a legacy of faith, hospitality, and family, survived by daughter Suzanne Sheets, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends.

Patrichia “Patty” Stump Hall, 89, died November 6, 2025, at home; a retired medical office worker, devoted mother and cat lover who enjoyed Harley rides and square dancing, she will be cremated per her request.
