Elouise Warner

Elouise Warner, age 90, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, October 31, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 20, 1934, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Franklin and Lillian Carter Reese. On September 20, 1953, she married James Grant Warner who preceded her in death on March 20, 2020.

She is survived by three sons, Russell W. Warner and wife Renee of Buckhannon, Dr. James G. Warner, Jr. and wife Robin of Lynchburg, VA, and Rodney W. Warner and wife Debbie of Newberry, FL; one daughter, Sandra K. Wright and husband Curt of Panama City, FL; five granddaughters, Brittany Conover and husband Ryan of Buckhannon, Caitlin Warner and husband Frederik Brondsted of Portland, OR, Courtney Walton and husband Justin of Buckhannon, Megan Warner of VA, and Alexis Dennison of FL; three grandsons, Gary Cope and wife Ginger of VA, Michael Warner of NC, and Phillip Warner of Canada; five great-granddaughters, Elle Rose Cope of VA, Kiralym Conover of Buckhannon, Haley Warner, Emma Dennison of FL, and Scarlet Lyke of FL; four great-grandsons, Elliot and Will Cope both of VA, Grant Warner, and Matthew Lyke of FL and one sister, Marie Hall of Chicago, IL.

Mrs. Warner graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1952 and proceeded to attend Glenville State College. She was the Vice President and Head of Tellers at Citizen’s Bank in Buckhannon. Elouise also attended Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She loved taking care of her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Friends will be received, Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, WV.
