Ellis Duane Lee

Ellis Duane Lee, age 69, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Nella’s Nursing Home in Elkins, WV.

He was born August 10, 1952, in Fort Knox, KY, a son of the late Arthur Duane Lee and Helen Irene Hanifan Wagner.

On July 18, 1970, he married Debra Tenney Lee who survives of Buckhannon. Also surviving are, two sons, David M. Lee and wife Sara of Round Lake Beach, IL and Derek M. Lee of Buckhannon; four grandchildren, Christofer A. Lee and wife Amanda of WI, Megan M. Lee of Round Lake Beach, Kane Lee and Ezekiel Lee both of Buckhannon; four great-grandchildren, Piper and Nova Lee both of WI and Stella and Sofia A. Lee both of Round Lake Beach; one brother, Randy D. Lee and wife Sue of Hinkleville, WV and one sister, Debra Anne Lee of FL.

Ellis worked at Lingers Texaco then B&R Ford, Facemire Motors, Ed Lingers and Bill Kelly Chevrolet. He retired in 1992 due to health issues. Ellis enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He loved being with his grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 1 PM Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Mt. Olive Church Cemetery in Hemlock, WV, with Pastor Greg Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.

Paul Ronald Linger, 94, a U.S. Air Force veteran and longtime West Virginia Wesleyan College master electrician and Upshur County jailer who loved rock collecting, hunting and fishing, died December 19, 2025; he will be cremated.
