Elaine Joyce Halle

Elaine Joyce Halle, age 80, of Buckhannon passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Serenity Care Home in Buckhannon. 

She was born March 11, 1942, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Joseph Harry and Alice Fernandes Cormier. She is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-one years, Normand Halle.  In addition to her husband she is also survived by three sons;  Adam Halle and wife Teresa of Buckhannon, Christopher Halle and wife Debbie of Fayetteville, NC and Shawn Halle and wife Shirley of Buckhannon;  six grandchildren:  Dannielle Williamson and husband Brian of Stafford Virginia, Marshal Childress and wife Bethy of Fayetteville, NC, Gabrielle Halle of Sanford, NC, Annabelle Halle Daly and husband Kevin of Hinesville, GA, Michelle Halle of Fayetteville, NC; Shane and wife Vanessa Halle of Elkins, WV;  twelve great grandchildren:  Amelia and Riley Williamson, Elias, Blithe and Niko Childress, Aden, Adeline and Sophia Daly, Alexander, Olivia, Parker and Alexis Halle; one brother Ronald Cormier and wife Michelle of Acushnet, Massachusetts.

Elaine loved reading the Bible, writing songs of praise to the Lord and playing the auto harp.  When Elaine was asked how she wanted her life and faith to be remembered, her response would be…. “I tried.  I loved God and knew he loved me more than anyone else could.”  She was faithful to never let go of God’s love until hers became like his.  She was a Christian by faith and attended the Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon, WV 

Graveside services and interment will be held for the family at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the Talbott Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating.
