Earl W. Hamilton

Earl W. Hamilton, 91, passed away on November 4, 2025.

Born in Coalton, WV, Earl was a resident of Stow since 1960, and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Earl had been a Captain with the Stow Fire Department, retiring in 2000. Earl then began working part time for Ron Marhofer Chevrolet until he was 82 years old! Besides working, he enjoyed hunting, yard work, fishing, scuba diving, flying in the Akron Flying club, member of the local VFW #4378/American Legion, biking and spending time with his loved ones.

Preceded in death by his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Hamilton; parents, Winfred and Mary Jane Hamilton, sisters, Winnie Hoover and Barbara Diehl. He is survived by his daughters, Julie (Dan) Lasley, Jill (Eugene) Donatell and Jodi (Steve) Keller; son, Jeff (Rosemary) Hamilton; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, James, Samuel (Judy), Senator William (Sue) Hamilton, and many nieces and nephews.

Pastor Michael Freeman will conduct the service at 3 PM, Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224. Friends may call from 1 PM to service time, Sunday, at the funeral home.

The interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will be a private ceremony.
