A man escaped serious injury after falling asleep while driving home from work and wrecking on Brushy Fork Road Friday morning.
Upshur County Sheriff Mike Coffman said the 50-year-old man had worked a midnight shift and was headed to his home on Lick Run when he fell asleep, ran into a ditch and hit an embankment.
Both lanes of traffic were closed during the incident. The Buckhannon Fire Department assisted at the scene.
