Donna Jean Wilber

Donna Jean Wilber, age 83, of Kanawha Head, WV, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at her home.

She was born February 5, 1943, in Peoria, IL, daughter of the late Vern Poplett and Ruth White. On August 23, 1958, she married Robert Keith Wilber, who preceded her in death on April 1, 2020.

She is survived by one sister, Betty Medina of Grants, NM; her children, Bobbie Chidester of Kanawha Head, WV, Patty Demastes and husband Jimmy of TN, Gary Wilber and fiancé Allison Rock of Culpepper, VA, Leroy Wilber and companion Angie Tiziani of Weston, WV, Jo Ann Bayles of Inwood, WV, and Roger Wilber and wife Missy of Brandy Station, VA; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, Steven Wiant of Buckhannon, WV; beloved dogs Princess, Libby, and Callan; and cat Garfield.

Mrs. Wilber was a retail manager for many years before retiring to spend more time with her family. She loved spending time with her family, whether that be simply sitting around the dining room table talking and laughing, Jeep rides, or family game nights. She especially loved the family game nights with her grandkids. She also enjoyed sitting on the front porch drinking her cup of tea and watching the calves play in the field.

Mrs. Wilber was a Baptist by faith.

In honoring Mrs. Wilber’s wishes, she will be cremated. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
