Donice M. Tenney, age 95, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, May 13, 2023, at her home.

She was born April 3, 1928, in Alton, WV, a daughter of the late Freeman and Mary Johns Zickefoose. On May 7, 1949, she married Emerson Oren Tenney, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, four brothers, Harold, Willard, Elmer and Robert Zickefoose and four sisters, Lurene Tenney, Kathleen Carpenter, Anna Bell Hoover and JoAnn Maher.

She is survived by three sons, Rex Tenney and wife Josie, Clayton and Mark Tenney all of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Carol Jo Suder-Howes and husband Edward and Karen Bayless and husband Terry; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Friday, May 19, 2023, from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Mt. Union United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday at the church with the Rev. Rose McCartney officiating. A burial will follow at Mt. Union Cemetery in Buckhannon.
