Donald Eugene DeBarr, 82, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Monday, June 8, 2020 at his home.
He was born February 22, 1938 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Willie Ford and Flora Mae Smith.
On September 8, 1957 he married Mary Margaret Smith who preceded him in death on February 3, 2020.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by three sons, Willie Junior, Gerald Eugene and Kenneth Wayne DeBarr; one daughter, Barbara Jean Koon and four brothers, Willie, Ronald, Gerald and Charles DeBarr.
He is survived by two daughters, Debra Hollen and husband Glenn and Shirley Ann Tenney and husband Rick all of Buckhannon; two sons, Roger Allen DeBarr and wife Carla of Buckhannon and Nathaniel “Randy” DeBarr of Spring Hill, Fla.; one son-in-law, John Koon of Buckhannon; one daughter-in-law, Natalia DeBarr of Buckhannon; fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his beloved dog, Lucy and special friends, Lois and Gary Malonee of Buckhannon.
Mr. DeBarr worked for Corhart Refactories as a Finisher. He was a Nazarene by faith.
Friends will be received Friday, June 12, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Mallonee officiating. Burial will follow in the Reger Cemetery in Teter, W.Va.
