Triplett scores twice as Lady Bucs blank Fairmont Senior, 2-0

Haley Triplett scored twice in the first half and freshman goalkeeper Isabella Nottingham returned to record a two-save shutout as Buckhannon-Upshur defeated Fairmont Senior 2-0, snapping a four-game losing streak.

Band of Brothers aims to raise $40,000 for charity projects with annual calendar sale

The Band of Brothers recently launched their annual calendar fundraiser, aiming to raise at least $40,000 to assist underprivileged children and elderly residents with home repairs. The $15 calendars feature Al Tucker’s West Virginia photos. Proceeds fund about 25 local programs.

Matthew Roy Loudin, 51, of Adrian, WV, a husband, father, grandfather and longtime Buckhannon native, died September 30, 2025; his body will be cremated and a celebration of life announced.

Carolyn Sue Perry

Carolyn Sue Perry, 86, of French Creek, died September 30, 2025; she is survived by her husband Buddy R. Perry, three children, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, siblings, and extended family, with services October 4.
