On December 10, 1992, Leroy married the love of his life, Robin Ray Huff Slater. Together they shared the last 27 wonderful years of marriage and she will miss him dearly.

Leroy graduated from High School in Asheville, Ohio. He spent 17 years employed with Lowes in Frederick, Md., and later retired from Wal-Mart in Charles Town, W.Va. to stay home with his grandson, Dillon. Leroy loved spending time outdoors whether he was fishing, hunting, or riding his four-wheeler. Another hobby that Leroy was exceptional at was carpentry. He loved building anything and everything.
