Dennis Lyle McDaniels

Dennis Lyle McDaniels, 61, of Buckhannon, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at his home. 

He was born March 19, 1957, in Upshur County, a son of the late Jack McDaniels and Jeanette Eskew Lamb. 

He is survived by five brothers:  Roland McDaniels and wife Jane of Grafton, Ronald (Joe) McDaniels and wife Janice of Buckhannon, Randall McDaniels of Buckhannon, Jerry McDaniels and wife Sara of Shinnston, and Kevin McDaniels of Buckhannon; four sisters: Sylvia (Jeanie) and husband Gary Cox of Grafton, Julie McDaniels of Buckhannon, Jackie and husband Jay Murphy of Grafton, and Jeanine and husband Clyde Reed of Tallmansville; one step granddaughter Jordan Clevenger; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Dennis was also preceded in death by one sister Sharlet Ervin.

Dennis was a great brother and friend who loved spending time with his family.  He was a self-employed mechanic and later became a certified logger and worked for McDaniels Wood Products of Buckhannon. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, especially telling stories around the campfire, and he had a love for fast cars.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, from 4-7 p.m., at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel.  The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at 11 a.m., at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Robert Anderson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pleasant Dale Cemetery.
