Denna “Dee” Ware Bayless

Denna “Dee” Ware Bayless, 77, of Buckhannon, W.Va. passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Nella’s Nursing home in Elkins, W.Va.

She was born April 29, 1944, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Carl and Rosealeigh Ware. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy Lewis and two sisters, Betty Mcwhorter and Dorthy Ware.

Denna is survived by three children, Mary Perez and husband John of San Antonio, Texas; Terry Bayless Jr. and wife Karen of Buckhannon and Carol Hilton and husband JT of Clarksburg, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Lloyd Bayless, Michael Davis, Christopher Davis, Syd Lewis, Hailey Knight, David Lewis, Carl Killingsworth, Trey Bayless and Nathan Bayless; one half-sister, Phillis Burkhammer; one half-brother, Elden Burkhammer; several nieces and nephews and her dear friend Colleen Hoover.

Deena spent over 30 years doing childcare and she loved the job. She was a proud member of St. Joseph’s church in Buckhannon and loved doing dinners and other activities at the church. She had a love for her pets and treated them like family.

At Denna’s request she will be cremated and buried but there will be no service at this time. A memorial service will take place later, family and loved ones will be notified at a later date.
