Delphia Viola Newlon

Delphia Viola Newlon, age 95, of Weston, WV, died Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Holbrook Healthcare Center in Buckhannon, WV.

She was born May 20, 1930, in Masonville, WV, a daughter of the late Jasper Jesse and Hattie Reel Judy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Zane Newlon; seven sisters, Ruth Wochike, Eslie Cowger, Evelyn Groghan, Glona Judy, Roxanne Judy, Arvella Judy and Dora Judy and three brothers, Jesse Judy, Conway Judy and Carl Judy.

She is survived by two sons, Carl Newlon of Rock Cave, WV and Delmas Newlon of SC; four daughters, Bonnie Black of Buckhannon, Linda Simmons and husband Larry of SC, Patty Pugh and husband Lynn of Webster Springs, WV and Vickie Watson and husband James of Weston; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Newlon was a homemaker and a Christian by Faith.

Friends will be received Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Davis officiating.

Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
