Dec. 10 B-UHS Boys Basketball game postponed until February due to maintenance issues

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur High School Boys Basketball game against University scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 10 has been moved to February due to a maintenance issue in the B-UHS gym, according to the high school’s athletic director.

Rick Reynolds said Monday the junior varsity and varsity boys’ basketball games have been rescheduled for 5:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24.

“We have some issues in the gym that need to be repaired, and we don’t want it to become a safety issue for the athletes,” Reynolds said. “There’s a possibility that we could have it taken care of by Tuesday night, but we definitely don’t want somebody to get hurt, so this will give us a couple more days for it to be fixed.”

Reynolds said a leak in the ceiling that’s resulted from recent wind damage was to blame.
