Debora Lynn King Foster

Debora Lynn King Foster, 64, of Buckhannon, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.

She was born in Buckhannon on June 17, 1960, the daughter of Karon Lemley King and Ross L. King. Debora was preceded in death by her husband Gregory Dale Foster who passed away on March 17, 1998, one daughter, Jennifer Lynn Foster, and her grandparents.

Family was at the heart of Debora’s life. She cherished time spent with her family above all else. Debora is survived by her parents, Karon and Ross King; her son, Lee Foster; one brother David W. King and his wife, Anita; two nieces: Sydney and Chloe; and good family friend Drew Martin.

After graduating Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1978, Debora’s journey of learning and growth took her to the Pittsburg Beauty Academy, the Clarksburg Beauty Academy, and the Fred Eberle Nurses Training. Her thirst for knowledge and passion for serving others culminated in 1996 when she received her RN at Davis and Elkins College. These accomplishments were not just a testament to her tenacity and devotion to her career, but also a testament to her spirit. As Helen Keller once said, “Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.”

Debora’s request for cremation has been honored by Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon.

We, at Clutter Funeral and Cremation, are honored and privileged to serve the family of Debora Lynn King Foster. Online condolences may be expressed at www.ClutterFuneralHome.com.
