Davis Health welcomes new pediatrician, Dr. Ebba

Dr. Ebba Ebba

Elkins, W.Va. – Davis Health System is happy to welcome Dr. Ebba Ebba to its Davis Medical Center (DMC) Pediatric team.

Dr. Ebba has over 30 years of experience in pediatrics, both in private practice and in academia, and has been board-certified in Pediatrics since 1993.  He recently relocated to Elkins from the Atlanta, GA area.

“After 30 years of practicing in different locations, most of which were in big cities, I wanted to practice in a small town with access to the great outdoors and at the same time affords me the ability literally walk to my clinic,” said Dr. Ebba.

Ebba earned his medical degree from Howard University School of Medicine, Washington, D.C.  He completed his residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA before completing his fellowship at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.

He is the founding member & president of Gemini Health Care Group, a non-profit health care organization working in Sub-Saharan African countries since 2006.  He also is founder and co-chair of Pediatrics by the Nile, and annual pediatric CME based in Ethiopia since 2011.

“We are extremely pleased that Dr. Ebba has joined our Pediatric team,” said DHS Chief Medical Officer Catherine “Mindy” Chua, D.O., M.S.  “Clinically, professionally and personally, he brings so much to the care of children and their parents.  We are beyond happy to welcome him to Elkins.”

“What attracted me most to Elkins is its small-town charm as well as its accessibility to big city amenities of Pittsburgh and D.C. within driving distance. The hospital staff and clinician colleagues have been welcoming and supportive and the patients have been appreciative,” Ebba added.

Davis Medical Center Pediatrics is located on the ground floor of the outpatient clinics. Dr. Ebba joins the Pediatric team of Dr. Amanda Pennington, and Rachel Anger, NP.  They see patients from newborn to young adult for preventive, illness and injury, and chronic disease management. Dr. Ebba is currently taking new patients. Call the Patient Access Center at 304.637.3894 for information or an appointment.
