David Leroy Myers

David Leroy Myers, 83, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, October 18, 2021, at his home.

David was born April 13, 1938, in New Manchester, WV, a son of the late Robert Herman Myers and Wilma Sheets Cline. On August 21, 1982, he married the love of his life Crystal Lynett (Kinney) Myers, who preceded him in death on June 13, 2021. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Mike Myers and one sister, Rhonda Wherry.

Surviving are three children, Keith Myers of French Creek, WV, Sara Bennett and husband Chris of Gahanna, OH, and Corley Brean  and wife Yvonne of OH; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn Russ of Holden Beach, NC, Christina Bennett of Gahanna, CJ Brean of OH, Brittney Brean of OH, Jordan Brean of OH, and David Harwell of CA; one great-grandson, Granger Gibson of OH; one brother, Robert Myers and wife Doris of East Liverpool, OH; two sisters, Dorothy Swain and husband Marion of Palm Coast, FL, and Nancy Coen of SC; his beloved dog Pepper, who he loved most out of all his animal friends he had throughout his life, and numerous nieces and nephews.

David graduated from New Cumberland High School Class of 1956, he was a mechanic by trade and eventually ended up teaching auto mechanics at Columbiana County Career & Technical Center, in Ohio. David loved all things nature, from hunting and fishing to bird watching to loving animals of all types. He loved cars and he never met a stranger, he was a friend to all and loved by so many, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In honoring David’s wishes he will be cremated.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday November 13, 2021, from 11AM until 12 noon at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Following the gathering, a Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating.  A luncheon will be held at Christian Fellowship Church from 1-3 PM following the services, all are welcome to join.
