Daisy Lou Miller, age 74, of Buckhannon, WV, went to her forever home in Heaven on Sunday morning, July 26, 2026. She was born June 12, 1952, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Matthew and Martha Marsh Miller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seventeen brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son, Kevin Tenney and wife Kelly of NC; one sister, Katherine Friend and husband Mark of Buckhannon; two brothers, Cecil Ray Miller of Buckhannon and Matthew Junior Miller of Milton, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Daisy loved the Lord, and she always put Him first in everything. She was a very talented lady who wrote a book and had it published, could play the piano by ear just like a professional, wrote several songs, and made a few tapes. Daisy knew her talents were gifts from God.
She worked as a waitress at the Stardust many years ago, and then she became a secretary and worked at the Armory in Tennerton for the N.Y.C. for years. She was a member of the Buckhannon Kiwanis Club and was honored as the “Enrollee of the Month” once.
In her later years, she witnessed for the Lord and Savior and would walk every day—often five miles or more—to do God’s work and tell people about Jesus Christ. She would make Bible verses and hand them out for hours at a time. If you needed anything, Daisy would give it to you if she could.
She was a blessing for many, and she is loved and will live on in our memories. She will be missed, and we will meet her again.
Friends will be received Friday, August 7, 2026, from 11 a.m. until noon at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon.
