Every family at Hodgesville Elementary School in Upshur County will have a new way to spend quality time together this holiday season, thanks to the generosity of local businesses 4K Transport and Shaver’s Heavy Duty Repair. The companies joined forces to donate $1,000 to the school, which was used to provide each student’s family with a brand-new board game.

During the presentation at the school, Kyle Linger of 4K Transport explained to students how the company set aside $20 from each transport load to fund this special holiday initiative. Seth Shaver of Shaver’s Heavy Duty Repair said he contributed because he wanted to help make Christmas special for the kids.

Lewis explained to her students that this was all possible due to the community members and their love of the school, emphasizing how special it is to have people who care that much about them.

“Thank you so much to the gentleman of 4K Transport and Shaver’s Repair for loving our kids and making Christmas brighter,” she said.
