City: Traffic pattern to change near entrance to St. Joseph’s Hospital

Buckhannon — The current traffic pattern at the intersection of Amalia Drive and West Main Street (entrance into and exit from St. Joseph’s Hospital) will soon be upgraded to include an ADA-compliant concrete pedestrian (non-motorized) refuge island. This project is a cooperative effort between the West Virginia Department of Highways and the City of Buckhannon.

Construction is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, and will be completed by no later than September 30, 2023.

The city appreciates your understanding and cooperation during this construction activity to improve access to the hospital.
