City of Buckhannon prohibits smoking and vaping at West Virginia Strawberry Festival

The City of Buckhannon has banned smoking, vaping and all tobacco use in public areas during the West Virginia Strawberry Festival, with violators subject to fines.

The City of Buckhannon, in partnership with the Upshur County Tobacco Prevention Coalition, reminds all participants and visitors to the West Virginia Strawberry Festival that smoking, vaping or the use of any tobacco product is prohibited in public areas within the city’s corporate limits.

This includes “All areas where fairs and festivals are conducted, including but not limited to the annual West Virginia Strawberry Festival and Festival Fridays at Jawbone Park.”

Persons found guilty before the Municipal Court of the City of Buckhannon will face fines.
