Christopher Curt Cutright

Christopher Curt Cutright, 45, of Rock Cave, passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2023.

Born on May 20, 1978, in Baltimore, MD, Christopher was the son of Floyd Cutright and Tamala Mowery. He attended Buckhannon-Upshur High School and later found his calling in life as a cook, working in various restaurants.

Christopher was a man who found joy in simple pleasures. He had a passion for riding motorcycles, and it was on these rides that he found freedom and solace. He was a hardworking and dedicated cook, and his love for his craft was evident in the meals he prepared.

Christopher is survived by his parents: Floyd Cutright and wife, Patricia of Rock Cave, and Tamala Eskew Mowery and husband, Gary, of Moorefield; two children: Ethan and Aryan Cutright both of Buckhannon; two siblings: Tanya Jack of Buckhannon and Floyd Cutright Jr. of Adrian; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Charlotte Cole, and Lyle Eskew; and his paternal grandparents: James Cutright and Patsy Hosaflook Cutright.

In the words of the poet Alfred Lord Tennyson, “Though much is taken, much abides.” Christopher’s memory will forever be cherished by those who loved him.

Christopher’s request for Cremation has been honored. A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
