Christian Fellowship Church announces summer camp theme, invites youth to attend

BUCKHANNON – Christian Fellowship Church of Buckhannon recently announced this year’s theme to their summer camp with a nod to a science fiction series we all may be familiar with.

Christian Fellowship Church of Buckhannon is now registering campers for their “Catching Fire: Igniting Our Faith in God” church camp held June 21-June 24 at the Upshur County Youth Camp in Selbyville, West Virginia. This year’s theme is based on the science fiction series Hunger Games, written by Suzanne Collins.

Interested campers who have completed third through twelfth grades are invited to participate.

“Our goal is to bring together the youth of Upshur County to worship and learn more about God together while creating memories that will last a lifetime,” said Missy Drost of Christian Fellowship Church.

A nod to the Hunger Games series involves many exciting activities for the campers:

  • Survival Skills Training
  • Archery
  • Food competitions
  • Daily Bible Lessons
  • Worship Time
  • Nightly Campfire
  • Water Day with a 100 foot Water Slide
  • And SO much more!
