Cheryl Michelle Williams, age 43, of Clarksburg, WV, died Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV.

She was born January 3, 1979, in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of Ernest and Barbara Claypool Smith of Rock Cave. On March 22, 2020, she married Jason Williams who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Ashley Warner and fiancé Chase Schoonover of Junior, WV; one son, Clay Hutchison of Morgantown, WV; one granddaughter, Remi Schoonover of Junior; one grandson, Tyson Schoonover of Junior; brother, Ernest Smith and wife Christina of Rock Cave; one sister, Loretta Nitz and husband Verlin of Minerva, OH; brother, William Warner; several nieces and nephews; friend, Candy Carr of Elkins, WV; brother in law, Chris Dobbins and wife Janee of Koinchloe, WV and mother and father in law, Van and Evelyn Clemmons of Cunningham, TN.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Shayna Williams and her paternal grandparents, William and Betty Warner and paternal grandparents, Clara and Bill Bennington and maternal grandparents, Frank and Ellen Claypool.

Cheryl was very crafty and loved painting. She was a graduate of A&B College. Cheryl was a Registered Nurse for over 17 years and then became a nursing instructor. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Friends will be received for a memorial gathering Monday, October 10, 2022, from 3 to 6 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 6 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Warner officiating. In honoring Cheryl’s wishes, she will be cremated.
