Charles William “Bill” Pancake

Charles William “Bill” Pancake was taken too soon and passed away Monday, February 7, 2022.

He was born September 16, 1948, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Durwood Mitchel “Jim” and Katherine Pauline Rinker Pancake. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Barefoot.

He is survived by one brother, Douglas Pancake; four sisters, Shirley Brown of FL and Mary Potts, Cora Leigh and Debra Pancake all of Buckhannon; four children, Dion Pancake and Carmen McCune both of Weston, WV and Geniece Pancake and Shaun Pancake both of Philippi, WV; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren (all of which loved him very much); his girlfriend of six years, Mabel Hamner and his beautiful beloved dogs Ms. Penny and Scruffy.

Bill loved his family, the outdoors, fishing, boating, traveling and also quiet times. Bill was like a real live Superman and will be missed by all.

Friends will be received, Friday, February 11, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Hodgesville, WV.
