Charles Granville Phillips

Charles Granville Phillips, age 89, of Aliquippa, PA, died Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford, PA.

He was born October 14, 1934, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Arnold Loudin and Letha Howes Phillips. On April 15, 1961, he married Paula Polito who preceded him in death on February 27, 2022. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, John Wayne, Arnold Dale, Dwight, and Howard Phillips; four sisters, Mary Lou Ware, Betty Sue Harris, Patty Davis and Linda Lester.

He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Ann McKenna and husband Christoper and Cheryl Neusch and husband Randy all of Aliquippa; five grandsons, Christopher McKenna and wife Brittany of FL, Nathan McKenna and wife Heather of Pittsburgh, PA and Jesse McKenna and girlfriend Megan, Michael Neusch and wife Carly, and Jordan Neusch all of Aliquippa; four great-grandchildren, Elliot Neusch of Aliquippa, Kira and Cedrick McKenna both of FL, and Emma Marie McKenna of Pittsburgh; one sister, Martha Reed of Tallmansville, WV; three beloved nephews, Steve Phillips and wife Carolyn and Robert Phillips and wife Lisa all of French Creek and Kevin Davis and wife Jane of VA; two beloved nieces, Gloria Fisher and husband Rev. Dave of Buckhannon and Denise Davis and husband Jerry of VA and one brother-in-law, Richard Davis of VA.

Mr. Phillips was a steel worker and a farmer. He was a Christian by faith. Charles was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, going to the beach, and spending time with his grandchildren at the farm. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 1 PM with Rev. David Fisher officiating at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hinkleville, WV. Burial will follow.
