Carl Blaine Norman, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at his home.
He was born on November 8, 1941, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Clifford Carl and Mary Reed Norman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Kamry Gibson.
Surviving are, one daughter, Barbara Norman of Buckhannon; one son, Larry Norman and wife Dana of New Brighton, PA; five grandchildren, Tommy Norman, Justin Norman and wife Torrie, Margo Gibson and husband Jammie, and Kurt Norman all of Buckhannon and William Norman and wife Leeanna of New Brighton; six great-grandchildren, Madison Norman, Hudson Gibson, Kora Gibson, Ember Norman, and Macie Norman all of Buckhannon and Raylan Norman of New Brighton; one great-granddaughter on the way; two sisters, Phyllis Strader and husband Tom of Buckhannon and Sue Cussins and husband Jim of Thomas, WV and two brothers, Jimmie Norman of Buckhannon and Chuck Norman of MD.
Mr. Norman was a coal miner and a U. S. Army Veteran. He served in the Army from 1961-1967 as a sharpshooter in the 4th Armored Division with a tour in Germany.
Carl enjoyed reading, tinkering on cars, and spending time with his grandkids.
Friends will be received Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. The Upshur County Honor Guard will perform military honors at the graveside.
