B-UHS students take part in mock interview day at West Virginia Wesleyan College

Buckhannon-Upshur High School students gathered at West Virginia Wesleyan College on Friday for a mock interview day as part of the Explore Workforce Development Program, gaining hands-on interview experience and professional feedback from industry volunteers.

Four companies — Saint-Gobain, STOCKMEIER Urethanes USA, Wendling’s Foodservice and Weyerhaeuser — sent representatives to conduct the interviews and work with students one-on-one.

The program said experiences like the mock interviews help students “build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and better prepare for future careers right here in West Virginia.”
