The Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club participated in the annual Maple Syrup Festival held in Pickens, displaying 124 photos to the multitude of guests who attended the festival.

Event chairpersons Gary McCoy, Anthony Ovies and Dawn Ovies, along with club members, wish to thank the festival committee and all the wonderful folks from near and far who toured the exhibit.

Well over 900 ballots were cast for the People’s Choice ribbon, which was awarded to Al Tucker of Buckhannon. Tucker’s photo, “Dolly Sods Sunrise,” grabbed the attention of festival attendees. Other favorites were Gary McCoy’s “Fox” and Kelly Bibey’s “Goofy Girl.”

Club members hope to see several visitors there again next year. Many thanks to folks who purchased photographs and in doing so, support local amateur photographers. The club also thanks the Pickens Fire Department for use of their facility.
